Here are some reviews and what people are saying about the Portallas series...
"Forestium is a beautifully written tale that introduces us to a strange new world, its many races, feats of magic and the power of love and truth. Christopher D. Morgan has done a fabulous job of creating scenes that come to life where the sense of action and the emotional entanglements feel real. With great dialogue, a smorgasbord of characters and evil always lurking in the shadows, this fantasy is easy to fall into and hard to leave. A great start to a new YA fantasy series!"

"Smooth easy reading, great dialogue writing, nice character development, plot and story development are excellent; I cannot say enough good things! I cannot wait for the next book in this series. I want to know what happens to Andrew, Galleon and Protello, etc."

"Forestium was a wonderfully enjoyable read. I am an adult who adores both young adult and adult fantasy novels, and this novel did not disappoint. It is enthralling enough to read in one afternoon, the characters were fun, the setting was vivid, and the adventure the characters embark on is full of surprises and action. I loved that there is an element of mystery to the story, in that the main characters find magical items along the way which may help them in their quest. Like all great fantasy novels there is an exploration of good and evil, and it will be nice to witness the growth of the main character as the series continues. An enjoyable read which young adult readers will love, and young-at-heart adults will also enjoy. I look forward to Book 2 in the series!"

"The entire book moves at a steady pace, gradually building to the climax at the end. It is also wonderful that the novel consists of a “journey”, as essentially this is what a Fantasy novel requires. You have established a clear beginning, middle and end to the plot, and provided good character development throughout. The plot was engaging, and I personally felt intrigued, and wanted to keep reading to find out how it would all end up."

"The writing is clear without bogging the reader down with unnecessary events or lengthy descriptions that don't add to the experience. It was easy to follow without talking down to the readers. My 11 year old is receiving this book next as a prequel to fantasy greats such as Lord of the Rings. Forestium is a great way to introduce any reader to well-written fantasy. Reluctant readers will enjoy the action and spacing between lines."

"Honestly I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. Normally Fantasy books don't interest me in the slightest but this one really drew my attention in an held it. The variety of characters and the illustrations starting each chapter made it easier to navigate through the story. The author has a strong voice throughout the story making it easy to forget you are reading a story. He knows the world he created well."

"It's been a while since I really got into a good fantasy novel like this one. Although it's written for the young adult audience, I think it works very well for adults as well. I especially liked the plot twists and how the orb of time revealed certain things to pull it all together - very clever!"

"I think that you have a natural talent for using descriptive details. You are very, very good at that, and I was able to visualize the settings of the novel with ease. I really liked Joshua, and respected him. He was the type of main character that I wanted to root on, and I wanted to watch him succeed."

"This is the first ebook I have had the pleasure to read. I found no errors, the plot was easy to follow, the characters were realistic and believable. There were no pot holes, no dropped dialogue, overall an outstanding book. I've never read a book so well written. This is the first time I have no suggestions, no improvements, etc. If this was my book, I would send it to the publishers right away. Congratulations!"
